Ingredients:

  • 500g of collard greens
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Large pot
  • Wooden spoon
  • Chopping board
  • Knife

Instructions:

  • Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes; cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Add the collard greens to the pot and stir to combine with the onions and garlic.
  • Pour in apple cider vinegar and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover the pot and let it cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the greens are tender.
  • Remove from heat and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Serve warm as a side dish or over rice.
