Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Balsamic Glaze

Ingredients:

  • 500g of Brussels sprouts
  • 3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  • Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until well coated.
  • Spread the Brussels sprouts onto a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts are golden brown and crispy on the edges, stirring halfway through.
  • If using, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the sprouts 5 minutes before they finish roasting.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
